Have you ever read the success stories of successful people? If you want to succeed in life, it is recommended that you see some of them. After you do that, you may recognize the pattern of experiencing failures in their stories before they can accomplish their achievements. It seems imperative that you should experience some setbacks before you succeed. Because of that, fail early, fail often, fail forward might be the mantra that you should embrace to realize your goals.
You might have experienced it too. Failures sometimes cannot be avoided when you progress to the success you want. No one seems to be able to get away from this fact if they put in serious effort to be successful.
What often differentiates successful people from the unsuccessful ones, however, is their attitude towards those setbacks. Successful people keep on moving forward to overcome them while the unsuccessful ones stop putting in the effort and quit.
Making it to the top is hard and that’s why there are few people who can accomplish it. It requires consistent hard work even in the midst of struggles.
Fail Early, Fail Often, Fail Forward: A Perspective
Move fast and break things. You may have heard this motto from the Facebook founder, Mark Zuckerberg. It is the sentence that can encapsulate what you need to do in order to achieve success. If you want to progress fast, then you need to work fast and probably “break some things” along the way. Those things can be regarded as the failures that you need to experience before you arrive at your predetermined destination.
If it is almost inevitable that you need to experience failures to succeed, you might as well go through them early. After all, the faster you go through them, logically the faster you will achieve your success, right?

As you experience the setbacks, you will also have the opportunities to learn how to best move forward. From them, you will know what works and what doesn’t for you. That should help you improving gradually to become the person who can navigate through the road to success faster. The lessons you learn along the way can be important factors for your achievements.
In my opinion, that is why experience failures early, often, and forward is a good principle to have to succeed. Doing that makes you not afraid of failures as you try to move the fastest towards your goals’ realization.
The Importance to Embrace Failures (But Actively Avoiding Them)
Of course, that doesn’t mean that we should willingly experience failures as we work hard to achieve something. It does mean, though, that we should accept them when they come and try to learn from them well.Failures often devastate and bring unwanted bad impacts on our life or work. They are something that we clearly don’t want to happen. However, we shouldn’t keep dwelling on the setbacks and not doing anything to overcome them. Instead, we should work even harder so we can move past the failures and keep progressing towards our success.
Setbacks may come now and then. However, remember that they also happen to the people who have made it before us. We should have the same mentality as them when it comes to giving our best response to the bad events.
When we want to progress as fast as possible, we should have a mindset strong enough to deal with failures. Only then, we can try to realize our goals in life the fastest that we can convincingly. Overcome the setbacks that come in your effort and just don’t give up if you seriously want to succeed.
So, are you ready to embrace the fail early, fail often, fail forward principle?
